I was never planning to have a litter with Ziva. Since she broke her leg as a puppy, I just didn't want the weight of carrying a litter on her leg, plus, because of her broken leg, she did not pass her elbows with OFA (my vet and the orthopedic vet we were in contact with at the time both believe it is because of the broken leg). But after moving into our new home, we were in the middle of remodeling the yard and Merlin went under the fence and got into her side of the yard (I only let them out for a few moments while I went to the bathroom) and that's how the "baby bear" litter happened. I feel really bad that it happened. But I also think that everything happens for a reason. Since it would be my only chance to keep a puppy from my Ziva bear, I took it and have no regrets! Gwen is very athletic and smart. She is quite a handful at times, but so sweet and gentle other times, especially with our young son. Since everything was shut down in 2020, I didn't get her out and socialized as well as I would have liked so she doesn't travel very well but honestly not bad considering. She does love going places and meeting new people, just gets a bit over excited. She will work out of that with more experience. 
I am hoping to complete some titles with her this fall-spring!
